It is our aim for the new regulations to be as unobtrusive as possible. Here is an overview of how things will work:
Tickets can be booked online and we still welcome walk in visitors to see any film subject to availability.
Telephone booking will commence from when we open on September 18th
Ticket collection is from the bar, where you will have the opportunity to purchase drinks and refreshments.
You will then be shown to your seat in the auditorium by an usher.
The seating plan for every show will be completely bespoke to ensure the optimum distancing and best viewing experience possible, based on the number of bookings.
For any enquiries, please complete the form on the ‘Contact Us’ tab on the website.
Masks are to be worn at all times by anyone over 11 in the bar and foyer. In line with government guidance, masks may be removed in the auditorium if you are consuming food or drinks.
Here are a few other things that may be different, to ensure you have a safe and comfortable visit to The Rex:
Reduced Seating Capacity, to ensure safe distances in the foyer and auditorium.
Increased time between start times in different screens, to avoid crossover of audiences.
Increased time between shows, to allow time for deep clean during the changeover.
Divider boards on empty seats to separate individuals, couples and social groups.
Perspex screens on the bar.
Uniform for all staff and visors for ushers.
Hand sanitiser stations in the foyer and entrances to the auditoria.
We cannot wait to open our doors again and welcome you back to The Rex – we hope to see you all soon.
